PICKETT COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man died after he fell from a boat on Dale Hollow Lake Wednesday evening.
Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency officers were called to the Dale Hollow Reservoir near Sunset Marina just after 6:30 p.m. for a boat operator in the water.
Witnesses told officials Roger Howell, from Overton County, was slumped over the steering wheel and then fell from the boat, according to a release.
Bystanders pulled Howell from the water and performed CPR. Howell was taken to Livingston Region Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
This is the sixth boating-related death in Tennessee so far this year.
