NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities have identified two teenagers that were found shot and killed earlier this week along a wooded trail near Percy Priest Lake. Now, authorities are offering a cash reward for any information regarding the murders.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, a resident discovered the bodies Monday morning while walking along a trail between the Lincoya Bay Apartments and Percy Priest Lake.
On Monday, authorities reported they believe the homicides occurred in the same place where the bodies were found.
The police department later identified the victims as 19-year-old Amir Landan Wilkerson and 18-year-old Jamie Valdez-Garcia, both from Alabaster, Alabama.
Wilkerson was reportedly identified through a wallet that was found on him and was last seen by family members Sunday afternoon. Meanwhile, officials said Valdez-Garcia is believed to have traveled to Nashville Sunday with Wilkerson.
Anyone with information about the murders are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered.
