SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WKRN) — A second suspect in a shootout outside a Spring Hill home that left a baby grazed by a bullet has been taken into custody in Clarksville.
The shooting happened around 1 a.m. in the 3000 block of Shandor Street in the Harvest Point subdivision off Cleburne Road on June 6.
According to Spring Hill police, a person was outside on the street when sedan drove up next to them. The occupants of the sedan exchanged gunfire with the person and one of at least 15 rounds fired travelled inside a home and hit a sleeping 22-month-old girl.
A 17-year-old from Columbia was charged last week with attempted second-degree murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment by discharging a firearm into a habitation in the case.
On Monday, June 16, La’Taveious Lee, 18, was arrested by Spring Hill detectives in Clarksville.
Lee, a resident of Columbia, was charged with two counts of reckless endangerment.
Investigators believe Lee and the 17-year-old exchanged gunfire following a planned drug deal that went bad. The investigation is still ongoing and more charges may be pending.
