LAWRENCE COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two people were injured on Friday night in Lawrence County after a fireworks incident.
According to Lawrence County Emergency Medical Services, one person suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local facility. The other person was critically injured and flown to a regional specialty center.
EMS officials said the incident occurred after dusk.
Lawrence County EMS is reminding people celebrating the holiday to never let kids play with fireworks, always keep water nearby, never mix fireworks with alcohol or drugs, point fireworks away from people, homes and vehicles, and to keep pets safe.
