NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two people have been charged after allegedly kidnapping a man at gunpoint and attempting to force him to withdraw money from a bank in downtown Nashville.

According to court documents, on Tuesday, officers were called to Synovus Bank on Demonbreun Street after a man passed a note to a bank teller stating that he was being robbed.

Responding officers arrived to find the victim with Oscar Polk, 28, in the bank's lobby. Reports said Polk physically resisted arrest by slipping out of the handcuffs, but was ultimately detained.

The victim told investigators that on the night prior, he was with 25-year-old Donnitta Frierson, whom he had allegedly been in a relationship with for several months. He said he left his apartment Tuesday morning to take out the trash when a black, four-door sedan drove up to him. He claimed Polk ordered him into the vehicle at gunpoint, and he found Frierson inside.

The suspects reportedly drove the victim to the bank, and Polk accompanied him inside while Frierson waited in the car.

Officers reported seeing Frierson drive off as they arrived. However, she was later arrested after she returned to the bank.
