NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- A shooting was reported along Interstate 24 in Nashville's Glencliff area Saturday afternoon, leading to lane closures and miles of delays.
According to Metro Nashville dispatch, the shooting was reported at approximately 3:52 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30 from mile marker 54 on I-24 West.
Dispatch told News 2 that one person was transported to the hospital, but there's no word on their current condition.
Meanwhile, the Tennessee Department of Transportation said "police activity" is blocking the two westbound right lanes and right shoulder at mile marker 54.2. As of 4:45 p.m., traffic is backed up all the way to mile marker 57 on I-24 West, according to TDOT's online map.
News 2 reached out to the Metro Nashville Police Department for more information about this incident, but we have yet to hear back.
