White House Gains Second EMS Ambulance, Partnership With WHFD

WHITE HOUSE, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Robertson County EMS is proud to announce the addition of a second ambulance that will be assigned to the White House area. This will give a total of nine ambulances for all of Robertson County. Increasing the EMS resources in the County will help ensure fast response times to emergencies. This additional ambulance will not only serve White House, but can go anywhere in the County.

From September 2023 till September 2024, EMS ran 10,204 calls. The following year from September 2024 through September 2025, EMS had 11,146 calls so far. With a population of approximately 80,000 people, the number of calls ran by the EMS department will average out to approximately 14% of Robertson County’s population needing EMS resources at some point. We also have two busy interstate systems moving through the County that contribute to the demand for EMS resources.

Robertson County EMS has again partnered with the City of White House Fire Department. WHFD is providing Housing in their station that is on Highway 76 there at the ballpark inside the city. This is where one ambulance has been stationed for many years and now there will be a second paramedic unit on call for the area.

This partnership really works well for taxpayers because citizens living inside our cities pay city and county taxes. The city helps provide somewhere to house the ambulances and crews, and the county funds the cost of ambulance operations. This is a great example of how municipalities and county governments can work together to enhance resources in such a way that it does not create an exhaustive need for increased tax funding. This could not have been accomplished without the hard work and support of your elected officials, and we certainly appreciate everything they have done to help us better serve our community.
