What’s Next for Springfield’s Capitol Theatre After the $1.045 Million Sale

SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – After selling for $1,045,000 at auction, conducted by Bluegrass Realty & Property Management, Inc., what’s next? Well, according to Michael Crawley, the new owner, the plan is to return the theatre to its former glory.  Crawley has deep roots in Robertson County, and a passion for preserving its cultural heritage. Crawley has expressed his firm commitment to restoring the historic theatre.

As the owner of a successful construction firm, MDI Construction, Inc., Crawley brings both the resources and expertise necessary to turn his vision into reality. His company will lead the full restoration effort, carefully balancing modernization with historical preservation.

So what will the theater look like when it’s all said and done? If Crawley goes full-on historical, the theater may look like the image below. The drawings below the photo are renderings from the Robertson County Chamber. What do you think? Full on historical, or modern? Tell us on Facebook.
