Two injured in East Nashville shooting, motive under investigation

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two people, including a juvenile, were injured in an East Nashville shooting Thursday evening.
The shooting was reported shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of S. 5th Street. Police on the scene told News 2 that one of the people injured was a male juvenile and the other person injured was an adult woman. Their injuries were not critical.
Authorities on the scene told News 2 there was no word on possible suspects at the time and the motive for the shooting is still under investigation. Metro police are interviewing witnesses.
No other details were immediately released. News 2 has reached out to the Metro Nashville Police Department for more information.
