Description

MADISON, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Nashville Fire Department is investigating two fires that occurred at the same home within hours in a Madison neighborhood.

According to fire officials, crews were first sent to the home located at 110 McArthur Drive just after 3:30 a.m. on Friday, July 11.

A food delivery driver reportedly observed smoke and flames coming from the home as they were passing by.

Firefighters said the home was vacant, boarded-up with no power. The flames were quickly extinguished and crews were able to determine that no one was inside.

However, just a few hours later around 7:30 a.m., 911 dispatchers reportedly began receiving calls reporting the same home was on fire again.

Officials said when crews arrived at the home for a second time, they extinguished a small fire inside the home, adding that no one was seen near the property during either incident.

Anyone with information about the fires is asked to call the Tennessee Arson Hotline at 1-800-762-3017. Callers can remain anonymous and qualify for a reward of up to $5,000 if information leads to an arrest or conviction.

No additional information was immediately released.
