NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The (0-2) Titans look to reverse their fortunes Sunday when they host the first place Indianapolis Colts (2-0) at Nissan Stadium.
After opening with losses to the Broncos and Rams, the Titans are still searching for the first win of the Cam Ward era at quarterback and just the fourth win for Brian Callahan as head coach.
"Yeah, our urgency is high to get a win. That hasn't changed." Callahan said. "It's been high for two weeks now. I mean, it's not for lack of urgency or lack of intent. Certainly would love to get to win so that our players can feel that feeling and we can get ourselves in the right track, but those are things that we're all working hard towards."
To make matters worse, the Titans go into the game short-handed, with right tackle JC Latham and nose tackle T'Vondre Sweat officially ruled out for the game with injury.
The Sweat injury is particularly problematic for the Titans after struggling to stop the run consistently in both games. Meanwhile, Indianapolis has seen Jonathan Taylor go off in each of its two victories to open the season.
Jonathan Taylor 2025:
- vs. Miami - 71 Yards Rushing, 3 receptions (27 yards)
- vs. Denver- 165 Yards Rushing, 2 receptions (50 yards), TD
The real story for the Colts has been the reclamation of quarterback Daniel Jones, who first beat out former first-round pick Anthony Richardson and now has led the Colts offense to two games without a punt.

Callahan has been impressed with the new marriage, "I think Daniel Jones is doing exactly what they want him to do. He's playing really efficient. He's going to the right place with the ball. Good coaching staff over there. I think Shane (Steichen) and Jim Bob (Cooter) on offense do an excellent job."
Daniel Jones 2025:
- 588 yards passing
- 71.4% completion percentage
- 2 touchdowns
- 0 interceptions
Offensively, the Titans are just searching for anything. They finally scored their first touchdown of the season in the second quarter of their second game when rookie Cam Ward hit rookie Elic Ayomanor on an electric play. Now, they need a lot more of them.
Ward has struggled with a completion percentage barely over 50% because of a heavy pressure. The Titans have surrendered a league-leading 11 sacks in two games, and playing without JC Latham at right tackle once again will not help Sunday against the Colts and Deforest Buckner.

To keep the ball moving forward the Titans have got to stop moving backward, not only do they league the lead in sacks allowed, but also penalties committed.
NFL Penalty Leaders:
- Tennessee - 23
- New England - 21
- Arizona- 21
- New Orleans - 20
The Titans entered the week a +3 point underdog against the Colts, but the public is expecting a much bigger Colts victory and that number has been bet up to +5.5 have by Sunday morning.
