NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An 18-year-old faces felony charges after officers were called to an alleged car meetup at a parking lot in Antioch.
Metro police officers responded Saturday to the parking lot of Floor and Decor on Cane Ridge Road, which has been the site of similar meetups this year.
According to court documents, three vehicles near Steak 'n Shake attempted to leave after seeing officers. Authorities followed a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Brayan Martinez Guevara, as he allegedly refused to stop for a traffic stop and sped away.
Reports said at one point Guevara lost control of the vehicle and nearly crashed on Cane Ridge Road. He reportedly continued to drive into lanes of oncoming traffic, and made a "reckless" turn onto Bell Road, causing him to crash.
He was arrested and booked into Metro jail on charges of felony reckless endangerment/assault with a deadly weapon (vehicle), felony evading arrest in a motor vehicle and misdemeanor driving without a license.
