NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Strong storms are possible on Thursday. The Storm Prediction Center has put a Marginal Risk (1/5) up on areas along Interstate 40 and south.

The threats right now are low-end for damaging winds, hail and heavy rain. At this time, there does not appear to be a tornado risk.

Storms will start to fire up in the afternoon and continue into the evening. We could see lingering showers through Friday morning, but those should not be severe.
