Pedestrian killed in crash on Gallatin Pike in Madison

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Nashville man died Sunday morning after he was struck by vehicle while walking in Madison.
The crash was reported Sunday just after 2 a.m. in the 1300 block of Gallatin Pike South.
According to officials, Rustin Needer, 41, called a family member and stated he was walking home after his vehicle broke down near Gallatin Pike and Briley Parkway.
He was reportedly walking on Gallatin Pike when he was struck by a Buick Encore in the northbound lanes. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene to speak with law enforcement. At the time of publication, no charges against the driver were announced.
