Motorcyclist Killed in Sunday Morning Crash in Robertson County

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – An early morning motorcycle crash on Sunday in the White House area has turned fatal, according to officials in Robertson County.

The crash occurred early Sunday morning in the 7600 block of Boyles Road, with the first call coming into 911 at 12:31 a.m. LOCATION OF CRASH

This is an update to a traffic alert Smokey Barn News released early Sunday morning following the crash.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s preliminary report obtained by Smokey Barn News, 30-year-old James “Cody” Fletcher on a 2009 Harley-Davidson FLH was traveling west on Boyles Road when he lost control of his motorcycle. The bike traversed both sides of the road before coming to rest on the left shoulder.

Robertson County EMS medics made every effort to resuscitate Cody, but his injuries proved to be too severe; he was pronounced deceased at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

Fletcher was the sole occupant of the motorcycle and no other injuries were reported.

The Cross Plains Fire Department, the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, Robertson County EMS, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, and the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency all responded to the scene.
