NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- An investigation is underway after a Saturday evening shooting in Antioch left a teenager injured, officials said.

According to Metro Nashville dispatch, the incident was reported at approximately 5:52 p.m. on Saturday, June 28 from the 1100 block of Bell Road.

Dispatch said that one person was transported to the hospital following the shooting.

The Metro Nashville Police Department later told News 2 that a 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg, but the injury was described as non-life-threatening.

Non-lethal shooting detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident, according to authorities.
