LEBANON, Tenn. (WKRN) — Officers with the Lebanon Police Department followed a trail of blood for two blocks before finding and arresting a robbery suspect.
Officers responded to a Park Avenue residence Wednesday evening after receiving a call about a home break-in. The Lebanon Police Department said when authorities arrived, they discovered a broken window in the rear of the home. A crime scene technician found a small amount of blood, which led to the discovery of a trail leading out of a residence.
For two blocks, Lebanon officers followed the trail of blood, which eventually led to a house on Victor Avenue. Authorities discovered a ski mask on the ground outside as well as blood along the front door and door handle.
Lebanon officers and a detective made contact with a 19-year-old suspect inside the home. The suspect, who was reportedly intoxicated at the time, had a visible cut on his hand.
He was taken into custody without incident and faces multiple charges, including criminal attempt, vandalism and underage consumption, according to the Lebanon Police Department.
