LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A driver and two dogs were rescued Friday morning following a single-vehicle crash in La Vergne.
The La Vergne Fire and Rescue Department were reportedly sent to Blair Road near Waldron Road on Oct. 24 to respond to the crash.
When first responders arrived to the scene, they said they found one person trapped inside a vehicle with two small dogs.

According to a spokesperson for the city of La Vergne, crews extracted the driver and pets from the vehicle, and the driver was taken to a medical facility to be treated for minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the dogs were comforted by firefighters until officers with the La Vergne Police Department took the pets home at the owner's request, officials said.
The LPD, Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services and La Vergne Fire and Rescue all assisted at the scene.
No additional details, including what led to the crash, were released.
