LEBANON, Tenn. (WKRN) — To celebrate Small Business Week, Lebanon is offering a $5 discount to incentivize people to shop small.

All you have to do is go to a Wilson Bank and Trust branch, ask for the small business bucks, and you're on your way to some savings.

The initiative is meant to show support for all of the small businesses around the city and highlight the importance of supporting local stores.

An employee at Em and Kate, a boutique in downtown Lebanon, said shopping local is a way to give back to the community and for the city to recognize that it is significant.

"It's really nice that they promote us. We meet new people every day from out of town, and I just love that they set a week aside to recognize that shopping small is such a great opportunity," Carolyn McKinnie said.

Wilson Bank and Trust says that the $5 small business bucks are going fast, so make sure to stop by sooner rather than later to get yours.

Small business week will end on Saturday.
