NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The former operators of the Nashville Kats have been ordered to pay back nearly $20,000 worth of advertising and marketing services they received from a Tennessee marketing firm by a Davidson County court.
The Davidson County General Sessions Court recently awarded a judgment in favor of I-MPACT Marketing, a marketing and strategy firm, for the unpaid services and associated attorney's fees and damages against Nashville Arena Sports LLC.
The lawsuit reportedly stemmed from unpaid balances for the services I-MPACT Marketing provided during the Nashville Kats' 2024 AFL season, when the team was operated by the arena sports corporation.
"As a business owner, I always try to resolve things privately and professionally," I-MPACT Marketing Founder Tim Gray said. "Unfortunately, that was not possible here. The court's ruling affirms the importance of honoring agreements, professionalism, and accountability in leadership."
As of May 2025, the Nashville Kats are owned by former Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher and his company Fisher Football Ventures LLC. The ownership team also includes Tennessee State University play-by-play announcer Greg Pogue and Bobby DeVoursney, according to the Nashville Kats website.
Earlier this month, the Kats announced legendary football coach Jon Gruden was also brought on as part owner of the team.
News 2 has reached out to the Nashville Kats for comment.
