NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro Police seized drugs, a gun and thousands of dollars in cash after first responders were called to treat a man found unconscious in the Opryland area.
According to court documents, just after 8:30 a.m. Monday, officers were called to Fiddler's Inn on Music Valley Drive after medics found drugs while they were treating a man who was unconscious in the driver's seat of his vehicle. When officers arrived, they found cocaine and Xanax pills in plain view.
The man, 36-year-old Michael Scott, reportedly refused medical treatment, telling officers that he slept in his vehicle after an altercation with another person at the hotel. Scott allegedly admitted that inside the vehicle, officers would find cocaine, heroin, cash from his work, and a handgun that he found on the side of the road.
During a search of the vehicle, officers found more than $30,000 in cash inside a bag that also contained clothes, a handgun, and a gun magazine. Syringes and bags of various drugs were also found.
The vehicle and evidence were seized, and the substances were tested. According to the documents, testing confirmed the bags contained four grams of heroin, more than four grams of cocaine, and more than three grams of fentanyl.
Scott is charged with four felony drug possession charges and one felony charge for possessing a firearm with intent to commit a dangerous felony. He was booked into Metro jail on a $107,500 bond.
