Death investigation underway after body found on Dickerson Pike

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A death investigation is underway after a headless body was discovered along Dickerson Pike in Nashville Friday morning.

Officers were called to a report of a dead body in the 3300 block of Dickerson Pike around 10 a.m.

According to Metro police, a body without a head was found near a shed between a McDonald's and a Waffle House.

Homicide detectives are at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

No additional information was immediately released.
