🏈 TITAN UP all season long with the latest news and notes on the Tennessee Titans
Description
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — One week in the books, and what a week it was to start the NFL season.
Your Week 2 NFL Power Rankings...
32. Miami Dolphins (0-1) - Nowhere to go but up, the Dolphins literally did nothing well in week one. That was horrific.
31. New Orleans Saints (0-1) - Just because it was closer than expected does not mean they are good. Still, not good.
30. Carolina Panthers (0-1) - 154 yards and two picks for Bryce Young against the Jaguars. That is troubling.
29. New York Giants (0-1) - Russell Wilson completed less than 50% of his passes and averaged just 4.5 yards per attempt. Bad and bad.
28. Tennessee Titans (0-1) - Defense and special teams looked much improved. Pass protection and penalties did not. Six sacks allowed and 13 penalties are both way too high.
27. New England Patriots (0-1) - The national media had to be shocked. They made it sound like Vrabel would go 17-0 even though much of the roster is still kind of trash.
26. Cleveland Browns (0-1) - They held Joe Burrow and the Bengals to 46 offensive plays and 141 total yards.... and lost.
25. New York Jets (0-1) - If you had the Jets scoring 32 points in the opener, you're better than I. They lost and moved up in the standings.
24. Las Vegas Raiders (1-0) - Ashton Jeanty averaged 2 yards per carry in his NFL debut. I'm confident he is better than that.
23. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) - Travis Etienne went off, and Trevor Lawrence was Trevor Lawrence, but that was good enough to beat the Panthers.
22. Dallas Cowboys (0-1) - They were much better than expected in the opener. CeeDee Lamb has to be better.
21. Chicago Bears (0-1) - I still see ridiculous throws from Caleb Williams that tell me why he went first overall, and then I see him hang on to it too long and miss open targets, and I just say, "Here we go again, da Bears..."
20. Atlanta Falcons (0-1) - Kickers have to make those.
19. Indianapolis Colts (1-0) - Do I really have to be nice to the Colts two weeks in a row? I was not surprised by the result against Miami. If Daniel Jones is just average, they'll challenge for a playoff spot.
18. Seattle Seahawks (0-1) - Jaxon Smith-Njigba is that guy, but he needs other guys to pitch in. 124 of the team's 230 total yards.
17. Cincinnati Bengals (1-0) - Not surprised they beat Cleveland, just surprised they looked so bad doing it.
16. Arizona Cardinals (1-0) - You can't play with your food like that, even Spencer Rattler could get lucky late.
15. Houston Texans (0-1) - I am being a little generous here because I think the Rams are good, but that Texans o-line has to get something figured out, or they will need five new starters for the second year in a row.
14. San Francisco 49ers (1-0) - And George Kittle is hurt... Again.
13. Detroit Lions (0-1) - Really tough assignment week one with two new coordinators. Twenty carries for 44 yards for Gibbs and Montgomery, they are way too good for that.
12. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0) - Most of us proclaimed Aaron Rodgers toast. Instead, he toasted the Jets for four touchdowns and a big-time comeback win. Now, can he continue being that guy?
11. Denver Broncos (1-0) - Defensively, dominant against the Titans. Offensively... Meh... Against the Titans.
10. Minnesota Vikings (1-0) - Say whatever you want about JJ McCarthy, but he did it when it mattered, and that is a calling card for great quarterbacks.
9. Tampa Bay Bucs (1-0) - Emeka Egbuka is a star, the first two of many TDs from Mayfield to Egbuka.
8. Kansas City Chiefs (0-1) - I am not dumb enough to write the Chiefs off, but I fully expect them to be 0-2 after Sunday.
7. Los Angeles Rams (1-0) - Puka Nacua had blood coming out of his eye and still had 10 catches for 130 yards. What????
6. Washington Commanders (1-0) - I was looking for a step back from Washington and obviously didn't get it. Jacory Croskey-Merritt or "Bill" lived up to the hype at 8.2 YPC.
5. Los Angeles Chargers (1-0) - I took the cheese on the Chargers, and for once, they did not disappoint. They were clearly the better team in Brazil.
4. Green Bay Packers (1-0) - 16 completions to 10 different receivers for Jordan Love. Oh, and that Micah Parsons guy can play. Great players win, and he went one-on-one with Penei Sewell and won.
3. Baltimore Ravens (0-1) - Derrick Henry defied time once again and was SPECTACULAR, but that late fumble is probably all he is thinking about.
2. Buffalo Bills (1-0) - That was a ridiculous rally, and my goodness, is Josh Allen special: 394 yards and four total TDs for the Bills QB and an early stake to NFL MVP.
1. Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) - Yeah, they're the champs and they won, but why wouldn't Jalen Hurts even look in AJ Brown's direction?
