MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) -- A woman wanted for multiple charges out of Nashville was taken into custody following a traffic stop in Mt. Juliet Sunday afternoon.
According to the Mt. Juliet Police Department, the incident began as a brake light violation along Beckwith Road on Sunday, Sept. 28.
As a result of the stop, authorities said they arrested a 25-year-old Nashvillian wanted for felony aggravated assault and vandalism. In addition, the woman was reportedly cited for having an unrestrained child in the vehicle.
Then, after the 25-year-old was brought to jail, officials said staff found marijuana hidden on her person, which led to an additional charge of bringing drugs into a penal institution.
"We’re grateful for our officers’ work and dedication to keeping Mt. Juliet safe," the MJPD wrote on social media.
No additional details were released about the circumstances surrounding Sunday's traffic stop or the identity of the woman apprehended by Mt. Juliet law enforcement.
