NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Those disappointed at the 75% refund they were offered by the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival after its abrupt cancellation on Friday, June 13, just got some good news: The festival is now offering all attendees all their money back from this year's festival.
Bonnaroo announced it was "updating" the initial 75% refund offered after the festival was cancelled due to intense rainfall created hazardous and muddy conditions on The Farm to a full 100% refund for tickets purchased through its primary ticketing vender Front Gate Tickets.
"Everyone who works on this show loves Bonnaroo deeply," the festival said in a statement posted on its website. "Some of us have been here since the early years, some were fans first, and some are new but fell in love with it as soon as they felt your energy and spirit on The Farm. We look forward to this show all year. It's what reenergizes us and restores our faith in community every single summer.
"Our main goal is to give you the most memorable weekend of your lives every year. This cancellation broke our hearts beyond measure, but we knew it had to happen for your safety. Thank you for your patience and perseverance through this difficult situation."
But that refund also comes at a slight cost: the festival is also not announcing dates for a future festival.
Typically, the festival announces the following year's dates after the annual event concludes, but the cancellation this year threw a wrench in the works.
"At this time, we will not be announcing future dates," the announcement read. "When plans for the future take shape, you all will be the first to know."
