MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — In-N-Out's three Middle Tennessee locations are taking shape with the company opening up job applications online for their three future sites in Lebanon, Antioch and Murfreesboro.

It's been a year and a half since Lebanon's mayor announced its future In-N-Out location. And although she's now lived in Middle Tennessee for 15 years, Lebanon Economic and Community Development Director Sarah Haston is a Southern California native eager to see the burger chain open.

"They even do where you can get your milkshake a Neapolitan where they'll give you one of each flavor,” Haston recalled.

Although In-N-Out company leaders told News 2 on Monday that an exact opening date hasn’t been set yet, they hope to be serving guests by the beginning of 2026.

“They're hiring already, which is great, and from what I understand, those palm trees in the parking lot is a sign that we're almost to the end,” Murfreesboro City Councilwoman Jami Averwater said.

According to In-N-Out's website, wages start between $17.50 and $21.75 per hour, which is triple the minimum wage. The website states that part-time workers are eligible for vision, dental and even pet insurance.

“In-N-Out, Whataburger, all these companies are going to bring good, high-paying jobs, the Buc-ee's is obviously something else that people are very excited about, and Buc-ee's is sort of famous for bringing in good starting wages for people and employing a lot of people locally,” Averwater said.

Those qualities were also important to Haston and the Lebanon mayor.

“Rick (Bell) and I like to joke that we broke the internet because it exploded so fast and everyone was so excited about it...," Haston said. "They contribute back towards education. They want to partner with Cumberland University; they want to learn more about our community and different ways they can partner."
