Description
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Severe storms are imminent Tuesday as our next storm system moves in.
The Storm Prediction Center placed all of our area under an Enhanced Risk (level 3 of 5).

A Tornado Watch is in effect until 8 a.m. in portions of Western Kentucky, including Muhlenberg County.

All modes of severe weather are possible with the storms Tuesday. Damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain, and even tornadoes (some strong) are possible. There is also a Flood Watch up for portions of Southern Kentucky.

Looking at the tornado potential, the Storm Prediction Center has outlined most of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky for a risk of EF-2 tornadoes or greater. This chance is about a 10% probability, but the environment is more conducive for tornado development.

For Tuesday, there will be storms in the morning to midday. These could be severe, but then in the afternoon, we will watch the main line of storms move in and continue through the evening. The potential will be there for all severe threats. Storms look to end before midnight, so it won't likely be an overnight threat.
