Description

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- Three teenagers died and two drivers were seriously injured following an overnight collision along Mt. View Road, according to Nashville authorities.

The Metro Nashville Police Department said the two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26 on Mt. View Road near Asheford Trace. Witnesses reported a 2010 Infiniti G37 was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed when it collided with a northbound 2018 Jeep Renegade.

Law enforcement said two passengers from the Infiniti -- 19-year-old Maximos Ibrahim and 17-year-old Raafat Nassif, both of Nashville -- died at the scene. A third passenger -- identified by officials as 19-year-old David Fakhory of Nolensville -- was brought to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, the 17-year-old from Murfreesboro who was driving the Infiniti was transported to VUMC with life-threatening injuries, authorities reported.

According to police, the 24-year-old driver -- and sole occupant -- of the Jeep was taken to VUMC to be treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Law enforcement said none of the five people involved in this crash were wearing a seatbelt.

Officials said the evidence from the road indicates the Infiniti was partially in the northbound travel lane at the time of impact. However, authorities will need to investigate further in order to determine the exact positions of the vehicles prior to the collision.

The MNPD said the case will be staffed by the District Attorney's Office once it's completed. No additional details have been released about this incident.
