SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — One person has died after a small, single-engine aircraft crashed, according to Sumner County officials.
EMS personnel told News 2 that the call came in from the area of Collier Lane and Highway 25 around 1 p.m. and first responders went to the Liberty Lane area. Authorities believe that there was just one soul aboard the aircraft, the pilot, and that they did not survive the crash.
Both the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration have been notified about the crash.
