RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — The rouge zebra was spotted running in a field in Rutherford County Friday morning.
The zebra was seen around 7 a.m. in a field near Ridgewood Drive in Christiana.
Rutherford County Sheriff’s deputies observed the missing zebra through a drone camera and are continuing to track the zebra affectionately nicknamed "Ed."
According to a release, Sheriff’s Cpl. Sean White has asked people to avoid the area. “We don’t want to scare the zebra,” White said. “We need time to get him to calm down.”
The zebra’s owner has been notified.
The Sheriff’s Office requested help from a veterinarian to respond to rescue the zebra.
The zebra has been on the run for almost a week after escaping from its new home on Friday night.
