NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 25-year-old woman faces felony charges after comments made on social media that put Lipscomb University officials in fear of an attack, according to arrest documents.
Court documents said a Facebook user -- identified as Karissa Hamlet -- shared a news article about Lipscomb University and Academy's handling of student grief following Charlie Kirk's death, and added the comment, "I'll go blow lipscomb tf up rn."
Lipscomb officials reported the comment to authorities, prompting an emergency police response. Reports said officials and students were put in fear of "serious bodily injury."
Hamlet's Meta account information was handed over by the company after a request from law enforcement, and she was booked into Metro jail early Wednesday morning. Hamlet is charged with felony threat of mass violence in school and felony false reporting.
