NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman faces several felony assault charges after reportedly using pepper spray during a dispute with employees at a Waffle House in Donelson.
Officers responded to the incident at approximately 6 a.m. Monday at Waffle House on Stewarts Ferry Pike.
According to court documents, officers arrived to find the suspect -- Airreonna March, 21 -- inside her vehicle in the parking lot with a bottle of pepper spray in the passenger seat. She reportedly told authorities she was exposed to pepper spray after it had gone off while in her hand.
Employees told officers March had entered the restaurant and demanded food, reports said. When the employees refused to serve her, she allegedly went out to her car and came back inside with pepper spray. Reports said after March sprayed the cook, she and others in the restaurant were affected by the spray due to the room's small size.
March was arrested and charged with three counts of felony assault on a law enforcement officer, misdemeanor resisting arrest, harassment and two counts of assault with bodily injury. Her bond is set at $30,001.
