NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A popular soda shop is in the works on the West side of Nashville.

Swig, known for their trendy drinks and unique flavors, could be coming to Highway 70 in Bellevue.

A site plan for the proposed location was recommended for approval by the Metro Planning Commission at their meeting last Thursday. If passed by the Metro Council, it will mark the third Swig location in Middle Tennessee.

Swig is a hot spot for people who love unique soda combinations. On the menu right now, the soda fountain chain has options like pumpkin soda, cinnamon soda, and dozens of other classic flavors like Coca-Cola with lime and root beer floats.

The proposed location will be right off Highway 70 near Sawyer Brown Road, per the site plans. The other locations

The developer told News 2's Sophia Radebaugh they expect to break ground as soon as possible but did not have a specific date in mind.

Swig would join a growing list of businesses establishing a presence in Bellevue. Regional convenience store and gas station chain Wawa announced plans for a West Nashville location near where Swig is proposed. The area also recently saw a Dunkin' come into the neighborhood.
