NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man considered one of Nashville's "Most Wanted" fugitives has been taken into custody.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said a five-year long investigation by Special Victims Division Det. Kevin Wiles led to the arrest and indictment of Garrick Oden, 60.
Oden, of La Vergne, was positively identified as the perpetrator of at least four sexual assault cases between 2012 and 2018, per MNPD.
Police said Oden would reportedly stop to offer rides to women he saw walking, but instead of taking them to their desired locations, he would drive them to remote areas to rape them.
None of the women reportedly know Oden personally, MNPD said, so evidence collected was "crucial to linking the cases together forensically.
He was featured on the MNPD's list of "Most Wanted" fugitives earlier in September.
Oden was indicted on eight counts of rape. He remains in custody on a $600,000 bond, per MNPD.
Anyone who may have had interactions with Oden is asked to call the MNPD Special Victims Division at 615-862-7452.
