SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WKRN) — The City of Spring Hill announced a Call for Projects for their 2025-2026 budget funding of the Neighborhood Sidewalk Program.
The program is meant to be used for small-scale, multi-modal, projects within neighborhoods, including sidewalks and multi-use trails.
Whether you’re in a neighborhood group or you’ve noticed some improvements need to be made, the sidewalk program is open to all residents.
The main criteria for the sidewalk program is to:
- Improve safety
- Improve pedestrian mobility
- Improve connectivity to schools
- Improve connectivity to park and recreation facilities
- Improve connectivity between multiple land uses
- Improve connectivity to Transit options
- Partnership with neighborhoods to complete projects
Submitted request will be evaluated based off:
- Safety factors
- Trip generation factors (proximity to schools, parks and other civic facilities)
- Land use (zoning) factors
- Constructibility, location and other factors
- Neighborhood cost share amount
Final determination on the sidewalks chosen will be based on several factors, including justification, funding availability, and Board of Mayor and Alderman approval.
If you want to submit your sidewalk, applications are open until Nov. 17 at 4 p.m.
