SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WKRN) — The City of Spring Hill announced a Call for Projects for their 2025-2026 budget funding of the Neighborhood Sidewalk Program.

The program is meant to be used for small-scale, multi-modal, projects within neighborhoods, including sidewalks and multi-use trails.

Whether you’re in a neighborhood group or you’ve noticed some improvements need to be made, the sidewalk program is open to all residents.

The main criteria for the sidewalk program is to:

  • Improve safety
  • Improve pedestrian mobility
  • Improve connectivity to schools

  • Improve connectivity between multiple land uses
  • Improve connectivity to Transit options
  • Partnership with neighborhoods to complete projects

Submitted request will be evaluated based off:

  • Safety factors
  • Trip generation factors (proximity to schools, parks and other civic facilities)
  • Land use (zoning) factors
  • Constructibility, location and other factors
  • Neighborhood cost share amount
