Robertson County Winter Weather Update: 11,000 Without Power

ROBERTSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – According to the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, approximately 11,000 customers across Robertson County are currently without power. Electric crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore service.

If your power is out for an extended period, consider the following tips to help conserve heat and stay safe:

Close off unused rooms and gather everyone into one main living space
Dress in layers, including hats and gloves
Use blankets and sleeping bags to retain body heat
Block drafts by covering windows and doors with towels or blankets
Keep refrigerators and freezers closed as much as possible
Check on elderly neighbors and those who may need extra assistance

Travel Advisory:

Roadways remain dangerous, and we strongly encourage everyone to stay off the roads unless travel is essential. TDOT continues working to plow and salt state routes. The City of Springfield and the City of White House are actively clearing roadways and opening storm drains to allow proper drainage.

Public safety agencies have responded to numerous calls involving downed power lines and fallen trees. Crews are working diligently to clear hazards and reopen roadways for essential travel.
