MAURY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A pedestrian has died after they were hit by a tanker truck in Maury County Friday morning, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
The crash happened just before 10:45 a.m. on State Route 7 near Blackburn Road and Church Road.
Spokesperson for Tennessee Department of Transportation, Erin Zeigler said in a social media post the roadway is closed in both directions.
Diversions have been established at both Church Road and Blackburn Road, Zeigler added. It is unclear when the roadway will reopen.
No further details were immediately released. News 2 has reached out to the Tennessee Highway Patrol and is sending a crew to the scene to gather more information.
