NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) - Everyone wants their neighborhood to look better, and one area in East Nashville is getting serious, putting a person in charge of beautification.
District 6 is hard at work. Metro councilmember Clay Capp says he's thrilled about the addition of Carter Koontz as their beautification commissioner.
Koontz's main strategy will be hosting clean-ups and planting trees district-wide.
She said in a statement, "Community and nature have always been at the heart of who I am, making it an honor to serve on Metro Nashville's Beautification and Environment Commission."
Capp says they are already identifying areas of the district that need some love, and they want you to get involved.
If your neighborhood could use a clean-up or some more trees, they're asking you to let them know.
You can email Clay Capp at [email protected] or Carter Koontz at [email protected] to submit your ideas for your neighborhood.
