NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 12-year-old has been charged with making a threat of mass violence against a Nashville elementary school, according to police.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said that a former student at Henry Maxwell Elementary School was in a group chat with 14 other students when he said he was going to "come back for revenge" and sent a photo of a handgun to the group.
The child allegedly said he would save the other members of the group chat, but ended the conversation with "have a great life if you can." The other students in the group chat were in fear that he would follow through with his threats because of his statements.
The MNPD said that Mobile Crisis was contacted and would follow up with the child.
