NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man has died after being involved in what police called a domestic violence-related shooting in South Nashville.
Authorities received a shooting call from the 200 block of Southwood Park Place around 12:30 p.m. Sunday. An officer with the Metro Nashville Police Department told News 2 that a man was shot in during a domestic violence-related shooting and died from his injuries.
At this time, there is no ongoing threat to the community, police on the scene added.
News 2 has sent a crew to the scene, and updates are expected from the MNPD throughout the day. Police are investigating the possibility of self-defense as a motive for the shooting, though the situation remains under investigation.
