NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man featured prominently on the Metro Nashville Police Department's list of "Most Wanted" fugitives for more than a year was taken into custody by Atlanta authorities, according to the MNPD.
Coordination between TITANS Unit detectives and the Atlanta Police Department saw the arrest of LaGarrion Blacksmith, 36, in Georgia on Tuesday, June 10.

According to MNPD, Blacksmith was charged in October 2023 with criminal homicide, attempted criminal homicide and being a felon in possession of a weapon for his involvement in the February 2023 shooting death of Chancellor Eddins, 35, outside Trvth Lounge on Dickerson Pike.
At that time, officers found Eddins lying on the ground just outside the bar after being called to respond to a shooting. Another injured man told police he and Eddins had gotten into an argument with the suspect inside the bar. Then, shots were fired as they left the location. Initially, the identity of the alleged shooter was unclear, but months later investigators announced Blacksmith as the suspect in question.
He was toward the top of the MNPD Criminal Warrants Division's list for more than a year as police sought him for his role in Eddins' death.
