LG Electronics began its operations in 2019 and employs about 740 employees in Clarksville. The company produces 6,000 washing machines a day and a thousand driers. During their site development process, the company developed a pad adjacent to their site.

Six years later, LG submitted site plans to construct a 560,000-square-foot warehouse facility. The project would position the company with the capabilities of an additional appliance line for the future. Executive director of the Clarksville Montgomery County Industrial Development Board, Josh Ward, said this is a positive direction for the Clarksville Community.

"LGE's expansion is a testament to Montgomery County's strong business climate and the IDB's ability to support sustainable growth," Ward said.

The completion date for the expansion would be the third fiscal quarter of 2026. This project is a $100 million capital investment. The project is pending final approval from headquarters, according to the company, but site plans have been submitted to the regional planning commission.

"So these 80 additional jobs just keep the dollars local to our community and keeps our local economy growing so we're very grateful to have LGE as part of the industrial park here in Montgomery County," Ward added.
