CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities announced Wednesday a juvenile suspect has been charged with homicide in connection with the deadly shooting at Clarksville Speedway and Fairgrounds.

The Clarksville Police Department said the teenage suspect was arrested Tuesday afternoon. Officials added that no identifying information about the juvenile will be released due to their age.

Shortly after 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, authorities found a 15-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the chest shortly after gunshots rang out at the fairgrounds. He was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Witnesses reported seeing five to six males running from the area after the shooting.

No additional information was released.
