HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WKRN) — A suspect wanted in connection with burglaries out of both Clarksville and Hopkinsville was arrested Friday, according to police.
The Hopkinsville Police Department said that officers responded to a burglary shortly before 4 a.m. on Saturday, May 24. Surveillance footage showed the suspect used a rock to gain entry into the business and stole multiple hemp-based products.
The surveillance footage also showed his face and the vehicle he had been driving.
The Clarksville Police Department had been investigating similar burglaries and the agencies worked together to identify the suspect as 26-year-old Nicholas McNeal. On Friday, authorities executed a search warrant at McNeal's Oak Grove address. There, detectives recovered products stolen from both Hopkinsville and Clarksville stores and the clothing that McNeal had been wearing on surveillance footage.
McNeal has been charged with burglary in the third degree in connection with the May 24 Hopkinsville burglary. Clarksville police also have three active warrants against McNeal.
