MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Mt. Juliet Police Department has arrested a man accused of striking an infant stroller Tuesday night.
According to the MJPD, a 57-year-old Mt. Juliet man struck an infant stroller being pushed by a mother while she, the infant and her other young child on Providence Parkway. The driver allegedly fled the scene.


Police said the mother and children were walking in a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash and the crosswalk's pedestrian warning beacons were active and flashing. The mother and infant were transported to an area hospital with minor, non life-threatening injuries, the MJPD added.
A witness provided the police with detailed information and Mt. Juliet officers were able to find the suspect vehicle shortly after the crash on Belinda Parkway.
As of publication, the suspect was arrested and is being booked into the Wilson County jail.
