GREENBRIER: Grand Jury Indicts Suspect on 14 Counts of Aggravated Statutory Rape
GREENBRIER, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News): The Greenbrier Police Department has announced an arrest following a Robertson County Grand Jury indictment connected to allegations of sexual contact with a minor.
Detectives began an investigation after receiving a report involving sexual contact with a minor. Earlier this month, the case was presented to the Robertson County Grand Jury, which returned a fourteen-count indictment charging 34-year-old Logan Kelley of Hendersonville, TN with fourteen counts of aggravated statutory rape.
On Wednesday, Greenbrier Detectives, with the assistance of Hendersonville PD, executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Shortly afterward, the suspect was located and taken into custody without incident. The suspect was transported to the Robertson County Jail. According to Greenbrier Police detective Joseph Chelini, “Evidence was seized.”
The Greenbrier Police Department emphasizes that the suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
“This case reflects the dedication and persistence of our Detectives and our Department as a whole,” said Chief Locklayer of the Greenbrier Police Department. “Our mission is to protect the most vulnerable members of our community and hold offenders accountable. We remain committed to that responsibility.”
