FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Franklin man has died following a single-vehicle crash that occurred over the weekend, officials said.

The Franklin Police Department said the crash happened in the 200 block of Noah Drive just before 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 1.

Authorities reported officers arrived to Noah Drive and found a van that had flipped on its side. A man inside the van—identified as 42-year-old Cody Joss—had to be removed from the vehicle and was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police added a dog was also traveling with Joss but did not sustain any injures. However, officials said Joss died from his injuries at VUMC on Tuesday, June 3.

The cause of Sunday's crash remains under investigation. No additional details were released.
