WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A former Williamson County coach was arrested on child exploitation charges Wednesday.

Geston Gordon, a former girls wrestling coach at Fairview High School, was taken into custody after he was indicted by a Dickson County Grand Jury.

According to a press release, the investigation began when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip from about a 13-year-old female in Ohio who was being extorted online for nude images.

Digital forensics experts then traced the suspect’s activity to Williamson County.

Ohio investigators determined Gordon worked with Williamson County Schools and district officials were notified. The school district reportedly suspended Gordon from his position and contacted the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

Williamson County investigators worked closely with the Dickson County District Attorney’s Office to indict Gordon. He is being held at the Detention Center in Dickson on a 200,000 bond.

“This arrest is the result of determined investigative work and effective collaboration between our office and the Dickson County District Attorney’s Office,” said Sheriff Jeff Hughes. “We remain committed to protecting children from predators—wherever they may be.”

Gordon was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor by electronic means, three counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, 15 counts of exploitation of a minor under 13 and three counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.

Gordon, who lives in Dickson County, was the girls wrestling coach at Fairview High School. He was previously employed as the girls wrestling coach at Ravenwood High School in Brentwood and served in the U.S. Air Force for six years.
