NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Heat Advisory is in effect across Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky until 7 p.m. Friday. This means Heat Index ("feels like") values in the region could be as high as 106 degrees.
The Heat Advisory includes our entire viewing area.

The NEWEST information is a Marginal Risk, level 1 out of 5, for far southeastern Middle Tennessee Wednesday until 7 a.m. Thursday. There is a Marginal Risk south of Interstate 40 for Thursday to 7 a.m. Friday. Another Marginal Risk has been issued east of Interstate 65 Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday.
The biggest storm threats will be gusty winds and isolated strong thunderstorms.

Heat is still the main concern through the rest of the week with feels like temperatures in the triple digits. Click through the slides below to see what's in store for the rest of the day.
Highs will drop by a degree or two through the weekend as rain chances come in. However, this will still be dangerous heat, so be sure to take your heat precautions!

Isolated storms are possible today, but become more scattered by tomorrow. These storms could have heavy rain and gusty winds.
Average highs return to the forecast as we go into July. This is good news, but highs will still be in the upper 80s and lower 90s. We are officially in Summer!
