Description
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — NDOT crews are working hard to clean up alleyways in Nashville.
Their crews routinely spend time in neighborhoods throughout the city doing this type of maintenance for alleyways.
Thursday, crews were working on milling out pavement around Lutie Street in the Woodbine area.
Before that, they had to clear out some of the brush.
The alleyways between the houses in Woodbine tend to be quite narrow, so NDOT told News 2 it's important they're clear so city vehicles can access them.
When these alleys aren't clear, NDOT said it's hard to conduct routine city services like trash pickup.
After they finish milling the asphalt along Lutie Street, crews will begin repaving that area, making it more drivable for city service vehicles and residents alike.
